Tate-LaBianca Murders

Early August of 1969, Charles Manson ordered Susan ‘Sadie’ Atkins, Leslie Van Houten, Patricia Krenwickle, and Charles ‘Tex’ Watson to kill.  These four family members plus another family member, Linda Kasabian, drove to the house of actress, Sharon Tate.  As Linda Kasabian stayed behind, the other four charged into the house with murder on their minds.  They all killed together in an attempt to make their leader proud.  A total of six people were brutally murdered that night.  One of those killed, Sharon Tate, also happened to be eight months pregnant.  Before leaving the house, Manson instructed to leave behind a message, “something witchy.”  To honor that request, they wrote “Helter Skelter” and “pig” on the wall in the blood of the victims.  After leaving the house, they pulled over to the side of the road to deposit their bloody clothes and murder weapons into a bank off of the street.  The following night proceeded similarly to the previous night.  As the family members entered a new house, they killed Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.  These murders have forever lived in infamy since those fateful nights in the summer of 1969.
