Throughout life, many people have probably heard of Charles Manson thinking that he is ‘some guy that killed a bunch of people.’ What most do not realize is that Manson never physically killed anybody; he had other people commit these crimes for him. He had these murders organized in order to initiate a race war that he called ‘Helter Skelter.’ ‘Helter Skelter,’ according to Manson, was foretold in Chapter 9 of the Book of Revelations in the Bible as well as the popular White Album released by the Beatles. Why is that he needed to have people brutally murdered, and more importantly, why were the actual murderers even willing to kill for Manson? In this blog, I will examine the life of Charles Manson leading up to his final trials.
